CHICKEN GRAVY

Serves :  2-3

Cooking Time :  45 minutes

 Ingredients :  

      • Chicken – 800 gms
      • Onions – 5-6
      • Black Cardamom,Black Peppers,Cloves,Bay Leaf,Cinnamon,Stone Flower – 3-4
      • Asafoetida, Cumin Powder, Ginger Garlic Paste– 1 tbsp
      • Ghee – 3 tbsp
      • Curd – 1 cup
      • Green Chillies – 2-3
      • Swaroma Chicken Masala – 2 tbsp
      • Swaroma Chilli Powder- 1 tsp
      • Swaroma Coriander Powder- 1tsp
      • Swaroma Turmeric Powder- 1tsp

Method : 

For Marination:

In a large mixing bowl, wash, trim and cut 800 gms Chicken into 8 pieces and set aside. Add 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste, 2-3 Green Chillies, 1 cup Curd, ½ tsp Swaroma Red Chilli Powder, 1 tsp Cumin Powder, ½ Swaroma Coriander powder, Swaroma Turmeric Powder- ½ tsp and Salt as per taste, green coriander leaves, and mix well. Keep it aside for 5 to 6 hours.

For Gravy:

        • Heat a cooking pot, add 2 tbsp Ghee, 4-5 tbsp oil and heat
        • Add 1 Black Cardamom, 2-3 Black Pepper, 2-3 Cloves, add 3 chopped onions and fry till it gets a nice golden colour  along with ginger/garlic paste
        • Add ½ tsp Swaroma Turmeric Powder, 1/2 tsp Swaroma Coriander Powder & stir fry for 2-3 min
        • Add 3 chopped tomatoes, ½ tsp Swaroma Red Chilli Powder & salt to taste, sauté the mixture till it starts to leave oil
        • Add and fry the marinated chicken pieces and coat them with the mixture and cook for 10 mins on medium flame
        • At this point, add 2 tsp Swaroma Chicken Masala and the required water and cover the pot and cook for 5 more mins till the Chicken gets tender
        • Garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot with rice, roti or paratha.
