Serves : 2-3
Cooking Time : 45 minutes
Ingredients :
- Kabuli Chana
- Ghee
- Onions
- Tomatoes
- Swaroma Coriander Powder- 1/2tsp
- Swaroma Turmeric Powder- 1tsp
- Swaroma Chilli Powder- ½ tsp
- Swaroma Chole Masala- 2 tbsp
- Green Chilli
- Salt
- Ginger
- Lemon Juice
Method :
- Soak 200g Kabuli Chana overnight with extra water
- Strain and cook them in a pressure cooker for 15 min
- In a pan, heat 3 tbsp cooking oil and 2 tbsp of Ghee, fry 5 medium size chopped red onions after they turn golden brown add two chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 min
- Next add 2 slit green chillies, ½ inch finely sliced ginger and salt as per taste
- Add 1/2 tsp each of Swaroma coriander, ½ tsp Swaroma chilli powder and add 2 tbsp Swaroma Chhole Masala
- Sautee the gravy for 3 mins on a low flame till all the masale are cooked
- Add the boiled chole with the water and simmer on low flame with or without the lid for consistent gravy.
- Garnish with chopped onion,coriander and a dash of lemon juice.
- Great options to be served with are: tandoori roti, phulka, kulcha, bhatura or naan.
