- Drumsticks
- Pumpkin
- Brinjal
- Onion
- Tamarind
- Tomatoes
- Swaroma Turmeric Powder- 1tsp
- Swaroma Chilli Powder- 1tsp
- Swaroma Sambar Masala – 2tbsp
- Jaggery
- Salt
Method :
- Soak 150gm gms Tur Dal for 30 minutes
- Boil the vegetables like Drumstick, Pumpkin, Brinjal and Onion and the dal and vegetable in 600ml water for 40mins
- Soak 40gm tamarind in 100ml in warm water for 30min, strain the pulp and separate the tamrind juice
- In a separate pan, fry 1 finely chopped onion and tomato
- Add ½ tbsp Swaroma turmeric , ½ Swaroma chilli powder, 2 tbsp Swaroma Sambhar Masala and 1 tbsp of jaggery, salt and stir fry for 5 min
- Add boiled dal and vegetables along with some water and pressure cook everything for 15 min till a thick consistency, add jaggery as per taste and then mix with the prepared tamrind juice
- Garnish the sambar with corriander
- Serve hot with with steamed rice, idli or dosa.
